Transcontinental Media has launched a new online service for Canadian Living magazine called Canadian Living Mobile. The service allows consumers to access content from the magazine through a smartphone using a special application developed by Polar Mobile. Users can also forward articles to people listed in their phone's address book. The application can be downloaded from <http://m.canadianliving.com>. "This is a very exciting launch for us because it gives our readers, who lead very busy lives, a fun and useful tool to get trusted information while they're on the go," said Lynn Chambers, publisher of Canadian Living and CanadianLiving.com. "This technology means readers no longer have to be in front of their computer to have instant access to Canadian Living." The magazine is promoting the service with a contest in which nine winners will receive BlackBerry phones.
