CLARIS TO LAUNCH WEB SOFTWARE
By Adnews Staff
California-based Claris Corp. will introduce its web authoring software to North America in late summer. Called Claris Home Page, the program runs on the Windows 95, Windows NT and Macintosh operating systems. It lets users create frame layouts that bring multiple web pages together into one page. There is a library section that stores frequently used items and entire web page templates. The Table Editor lets users create tables of different column and row sizes. The beta version of the software can be downloaded from the Claris web page beginning June 30. In Canada advertising will promote the product, but plans have not been finalized. The ads will be created in-house. Atkins & Ellis Ltd. of Toronto handles PR for Claris in Canada.
