KIOSK NETWORK NEEDS AGENCY
By Adnews Staff
The Kiosk Network of Toronto will introduce its merchandising kiosks to the Toronto market in August and needs an agency to help promote them, president Duncan Cleworth told Adnews this week. The company will start looking for an agency in July and will make a decision before August. Consumers using the kiosks will be able to order items such as pizza, music music CDs, videos and gifts. In addition, they will be able to rent apartments, buy new and used vehicles and order vacations. The kiosks will be across Canada within a year and across North America in 18 months. They will be set up in universities and retail stores. Data General (Canada) Company of Mississauga, Ont. is supplying the hardware and network support systems for the kiosks. The Kiosk Network is a division of Star Group Newspaper Networks Inc. of Toronto.
