Rogers to rebrand Channel M in Vancouver

Rogers Media will rebrand Vancouver-based Channel M as Rogers Omni British Columbia on Sept. 1. The channel features programming in 22 languages, including newscasts in Cantonese, Korean, Mandarin, Punjabi and Tagalog. "Rogers Omni BC is positioned to the benefit of audience and advertiser alike, we re-launch with a new schedule that has been enhanced by multilingual, multicultural programming from other Omni properties," said Geoff Poulton, vice-president and general manager of television at Rogers Media in Vancouver. "This collaboration will provide viewers with greater choice and clients with expanded reach." Rogers will also launch a similar station on Sept. 15 called Rogers Omni Alberta, which will be available in Calgary and Edmonton.
