Website roundup

Toronto-based Bayview Village Shopping Centre has redesigned its website at <http://www.bayviewvillageshops.com>.  According to the mall, the site is designed to appear "haute" and  "Audrey Hepburn-esque." The site contains information about the mall and its merchants, as well as a newly-added blog. The work was done by Sonic Boom Creative Media of Toronto. "Shopping centre sites tend to be very tactical in nature with emphasis on the store directory, directions and hours," said Melissa Evans-Lee, marketing director at Bayview Village. "That said, there is no reason why the site can't ooze with personality. When the brand is a shopping centre with a very unique sales proposition, it is imperative that the overall web design likewise stand out from the crowd."
