Sponsorship roundup

Emirates Airline has begun an initiative called the "Racquet Return Program" in support of the Doug Philpott Inner City Children's Tennis Fund. Attendees of the Rogers Cup tennis tournament in Toronto on Emirates Day, July 25, will be invited to donate their used tennis racquets to the fund. Those who donate will receive an entry into a draw for two business class return tickets to Dubai for each racquet donated. The racquets will be distributed to 11 summer camps in Toronto. "Our summer tennis camps are offered free to Toronto children and youth, ages five to 15, who would otherwise not have access to such activities," said Beth Dea, executive director of the Doug Philpott Fund. "We are excited to partner with Emirates to continue exploring innovative ways to support our programs." The Racquet Return Program will be promoted with an ad campaign on Toronto radio station 680 News beginning July 19.
