Eli Lilly Canada breaks new Cialis campaign

Toronto-based pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly Canada has begun a new advertising campaign for its erectile disfunction product Cialis. The 30-second television commercial is airing nationally in English and French on networks and specialty channels. The ad, developed by Grey Canada, depicts a man and a woman dealing with a series of household problems, including a burnt turkey, a flooded lawn and an overflowing bathtub. They meet at the end of the ad and smile at each other. "Our intent was to develop an effective Canadian campaign that encourages men to initiate dialogue about Cialis with their doctors in a manner that respects applicable Canadian regulations governing pharmaceutical advertising," said Michel Quintas, director to consumer channel manager at Eli Lilly.
