History Television rebrands itself
By Adnews Staff
Specialty channel History Television introduces a new on-air look over the weekend. The changes include a new logo, on-air design elements and new programming. The logo is intended to be more modern, with brighter colours and an updated font. Other visual elements are done in the style of games and graphic novels. "History means different things to different people, and that's reflected in this new look," said Kevin Watson, creative director of History Television. "Our audience is reacting to the evolution of our programming. It entertains, enlightens and uses modern techniques to tell stories. It's the perfect time to update our on-air branding to reflect the new programming and direction of the channel." The redesign work was done in-house by the Canwest Broadcasting Creative Agency.
