CDMA COUNCIL EXPANDS FOCUS
By Adnews Staff
The Canadian Direct Marketing Association's Catalogue Council has changed its name to the Catalogue and Direct Merchants Council. The move was made because catalogue companies are not alone in selling goods and services through direct marketing. For instance, there are book and music clubs, companies selling with infomercials and marketers on the Internet. The council is also going to deal more with the operational side of the direct response industry. Its traditional focus has been on the creative and marketing sides. Council events will focus on areas such as customer service and fulfillment. The CDMA has 10 special interest councils.
