ZipLocal conducts campaign

Online directory ZipLocal has begun a new campaign to promote its updated website at <http://www.ziplocal.com>. The campaign consists of advertisements on approximately 45,000 pizza boxes delivered in Toronto and Ottawa. The creative, which uses the tagline, "What's Good In Your Hood," promotes the company's neighbourhood and city-level search functions. The effort also includes a contest, the winner of which will receive an Apple IPod MP3 player. The campaign is being conducted through media company Fresh Tracks Media. "All elements of our marketing campaign were designed to underscore our position as a young, innovative, consumer-driven brand," said Elaine Kunda, president and CEO of ZipLocal. "Pizza box advertising is a unique new medium delivered directly into the hands of targeted consumers. It made great sense for ZipLocal to use it as a direct marketing vehicle for our new site launch campaign."
