Geox conducts fall campaign

Italian shoe company Geox has begun a new Canadian advertising campaign, described by the company as its largest marketing effort to date in this country. The television and print campaign was developed in-house. The creative focuses on the styling and breathability of the company's shoes. Print advertising is running in French and English magazines aimed at women. The campaign also includes shopping mall posters and a 24-page magazine-style catalog that is being distributed as a magazine insert. Newspaper ads will continue to run until November. The television commercial focuses on the company's line of children's shoes and is airing on YTV and Teletoon in Ontario and Quebec. "Our company has made a significant commitment to our national growth by investing 16 percent of our sales in advertising," said Gino Stinziani, general manager of Geox in Canada. "We are confident that it will help us achieve very strong brand awareness, gain important market shares and continue to raise the bar for the entire Canadian footwear industry. We aim to become one of the country's leading shoe brands."
