H-P LOOKING AT AGENCIES
By Adnews Staff
California-based Hewlett-Packard Co. is reviewing its H-P Internet Solutions Program account in the U.S. The San Francisco office of H-P's main agency, Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, will be competing for the business against a number of shops. One of the contenders is an agency started by former Saatchi staff, Ingalls Moranville. In the past several months H-P has put a number of pieces of its business up for grabs in the U.S. Earlier this month it switched its U.S. account for hard copy products - printers, scanners and network interface cards - from Saatchi to Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco. While H-P is shaking up its ad agency arrangements in the U.S., the company says this will not effect Canada where Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising in Toronto has all of H-P's business. Saatchi took over the whole Canadian account in 1993 in an international consolidation.
