Toronto-based Guaranteed Funeral Deposits of Canada has hired Field Day, also based in Toronto. Guaranteed Funeral Deposits manages trust funds for consumers who pre-plan their funerals with member funeral homes. Field Day will develop a marketing program intended to reposition the company in its market and promote its new services to these members. “This is a relatively unknown but very competitive field,” said agency president Andrew Arntfield. “The general public doesn’t like thinking about death, but within the funeral industry, pre-planning is an important revenue stream. GFD is a top provider of these services, but they do not have a tradition of reaching out to their members and helping them to build their business. We’re going to help them change that.” Field Day will develop a new brand identity for the company, along with a communication program aimed at funeral homes that will include sales training and marketing.
