AldrichPears Associates hires Rare Method

Vancouver-based exhibit design firm AldrichPears Associates has hired interactive agency Rare Method of Calgary to develop a kiosk installation called “Fuels of the Future.” The kiosk, which will be located at the Desert Living Center in Las Vegas, will provide information about alternative-fuel vehicles. The presentation will consist of 2D animation, along with music, text and voiceovers, designed to recreate the experience of driving down a desert highway. “Through visual and audio prompts, visitors are encouraged to turn off at various exits called Biodiesel Boulevard, Ethanol Avenue, Hydrogen Junction, Electric Alley, and Hybrid Crescent to fully experience different fuel technologies and their accompanying vehicles.” said Tom Short, vice-president of Rare Method. The Desert Living Center is intended to communicate to Las Vegas residents ways conserve water and live sustainably in the desert. The display will go into service in June.
