By Adnews Staff
Vancouver-based Future Shop will announce the results of an agency review befire the end of next week. When it does, it will reveal whether it has decided to hire one agency to handle all North American advertising or separate shops for the U.S. and Canada. The electronics retailer has been using agencies on a project basis but wants to work full-time with one or two shops to improve the quality of its advertising, PR coordinator Eric Ommundsen told Adnews this week. Meanwhile, the company is planning to opern 18 to 20 interactive stores in Canada and the U.S. this year. These outlets allow customers to try out items such as camcorders, car stereos and home theatres - right in the store. One such store is scheduled to open in Richmond, B.C. in July. The first opened in Vancouver last December.
