Website roundup

Women in Film and Television -- Toronto, in association with the Directors Guild of Canada -- Ontario, has constructed a new website at <http://www.canadianfilmmaker.com>. The site, which will officially launch on Sept. 10, is intended to be a resource and guide for feature filmmakers in Canada. It will offer advice on development, financing, distribution and marketing from industry experts. “For the first time, Canadian filmmakers will have access to key information and advice all from one central source,” said Sue Sheridan, interim executive director of Women in Film and Television. “The content on the site will be timely and relevant, with the inclusion of unique perspectives and opportunities for women and culturally diverse filmmakers.” Contributors to the site include producers Robin Cass, Anna Stratten, Alexandra Raffé and Gabriella Martinelli, and directors Ruba Nadda, Jeremy Podeswa and Wiebke Von Carolsfeld. The site was built by Web designed firm Someone.
