First Weekend Club holds Great Escape contest

The Vancouver-based First Weekend Club has begun a national contest promotion called “The Great Escape” in an effort to increase its membership. The club is a national non-profit organization that works to promote Canadian cinema. Members of the club can enter the contest at <http://www.firstweekendclub.ca/greatescapecontest.html> and gain additional entries by referring others to the organization. The grand prize winner will receive a trip to the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival or Whistler Film Festival, including airfare, accommodation, festival passes and reception tickets. Various secondary prizes will also be distributes.
