SICK KIDS HOSPITAL TAPPING CHINESE DONORS
By Adnews Staff
The Hospital for Sick Children will raise funds for research with a three-hour Chinese telethone airing May 26 on Fairchild TV's national cable channel. Besides live hosts promoting the cause and banks of pledge-takers manning telephones, the program will include a 90-minute Chinese movie featuring children and a 30-minute episode of a child's fight against cancer. Radio and print advertising for the event begins today. TV began last week and posters went up at the beginning of the month. The ads were created by freelancer John Vanduzen and adapted for the Chinese market by Justin Poy Media of Toronto. The Web site for the program is <http://www.ipoline.com/sickkids>. The hospital is targeting the Chinese community because it such a large one.
