McCarthy moves to Strategic Objectives

Public relations agency Strategic Objectives of Toronto has appointed Tara McCarthy to the position of vice-president. She will concentrate her efforts on the generation of new business. McCarthy was most recently vice-president of marketing communications at Optimum Public Relations. Prior to that, she handled the community projects of basketball player Vince Carter. She also spent six months doing international media relations for the Market Ontario initiative of the federal Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. She has also worked at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, where she managed communications for the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Raptors and the Air Canada Centre.
