Prelam promotes Just’a Drop

Prelam Enterprises of Moncton, NB has begun a marketing campaign in Quebec and the Maritimes to promote a new product intended to reduce bathroom odours called Just’a Drop. The campaign consists of newspaper advertising and free-standing inserts, along with in-store displays and promotions. In June the initiative will move into Toronto with a campaign called “Be an Odour Voter.” This effort will take the form of a poll about the bathroom habits of Canadians. The poll will be supported with email and washroom advertising. “Our guerrilla activities will not only raise awareness, they will raise eyebrows as well,” Luc Jalbert, vice-president of Prelam Enterprises. “The only way to tackle this subject matter is through humour. We will have toilets located in downtown Toronto and Montreal where people can take a seat while filling out their surveys. Our ‘Poo Crew’ will offer participants the opportunity to have their photo taken with a newspaper and oversized pants positioned appropriately at the base of the toilet.” The campaign will continue to move across the country through the summer and fall. The advertising was created in-house by Prelam. The promotional campaign was developed by LexPR Canada of Toronto.
