General Mills, Dairy Farmers of Canada to promote cereal, milk

General Mills Canada and Dairy Farmers of Canada have begun a joint effort to promote the nutritional benefits of whole grain cereals and milk. These benefits will be described in a series of nutritional tips that will be printed on the packaging of nine General Mills cereal brands. The tips are intended to remind Canadians of the role breakfast plays in their overall health. The initiative will also include the distribution of a coupon redeemable for two litres of milk with the purchase of a specially-marked box of cereal. The promotion will run in Ontario and western Canada during April and May, supported by two 10-second tags appended to existing General Mills television commercials.
