Armada Data and LiveDeal Canada have formed an agreement to construct a co-branded used car website called CarCostCanada.LiveDeal.ca. The site will allow consumers to buy and sell used cars nationally or locally. It will be patterned on Armada's existing new car shopping site, CarCostCanada.com. "The combination of Armada's knowledge of the Canadian auto space and the LiveDeal.ca classified platform is a great win for Canadian car sellers and buyers everywhere," said LiveDeal Canada general manager Simon Jennings. LiveDeal Canada is a joint venture of LiveDeal and Torstar Digital.
MondoCondo Media Group and Sympatico/MSN have constructed a new condo section in the House & Home area of the Sympatico.MSN.ca website. The section, called Condo Living, offers real estate advice, information of market trends and decorating tips. "The web is changing the way people shop for real estate, making it a more efficient process," said Patrick Lauzon, vice-president of sales and business development at Sympatico/MSN. "This partnership will help both our organizations address this ever growing group of consumers needs and at the same time, provide a great user experience."
The Toronto-based Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation has created a new Chinese-language tourism website intended to promote Ontario's various attractions to potential Chinese visitors. The site, located at <http://www.ontariotravel.net/china>, offers profiles in Mandarin of Toronto, Ottawa, Niagara Falls, southwestern Ontario, eastern Ontario, central Ontario and northern Ontario. "This new website provides valuable information about Ontario's tourism destinations and will help increase awareness of Ontario's attractions for Chinese travellers," said Ontario Tourism Minister Jim Bradley. "Promoting our province in China, which is forecast to become the world's largest source of international tourists, is important to the future of our tourism industry."
Transcontinental of Montreal is building a free classified ad listings website for Quebec. The site, which will debut next month, is intended to support the classified sections of the company's 63 print weekly publications and their attendant websites. The service will include areas for general merchandise, jobs, houses, vehicles, community announcements and retail services.
