Energy and home services retailer Direct Energy has signed a ten-year sponsorship agreement with Exhibition Place in Toronto. The deal includes the naming rights for the National Trade Centre exhibition and convention venue, which will be renamed the Direct Energy Centre. The term of the agreement will begin in June. The deal was arranged by Wakeham & Associates Marketing of Toronto, the sponsorship agency of record for Exhibition Place. "We expect that the relationship with Direct Energy will be the first of a number of new corporate alliances to be established at Exhibition Place," said Dianne Young, CEO of Exhibition Place.
