Frascione becomes president, CEO of BBDO North America

Gerry Frascione, president and CEO of Toronto-based BBDO Canada, has been appointed to the additional positions of president and CEO of BBDO North America. This region consists of Canada, the U.S., Mexico and Puerto Rico. According to the company, Frascione will focus on developing talent and finding ways to use that talent efficiently across the region, particularly in Mexico and Puerto Rico. In addition, Jeff Mordos has been appointed chief operating officer of BBDO North America in addition to his current job as COO of BBDO New York. Frascione's appointment is part of a global management restructuring at the agency that began last year when William Eccleshare was appointed chairman and CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Later, Chris Thomas was made chairman and CEO of BBDO Asia. Eduardo Vargas now handles Central and South America for the firm, while Rob Morgan is responsible for Australasia. In related news, Jean-Michel Goudard, president of BBDO International, will retire at the end of March.
