Metro Weekend debuts in Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver

Commuter newspaper Metro introduced a new edition called Metro Weekend on Jan. 27. The publication will be issued each Friday in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver. It will be aimed at readers seeking to plan their weekend activities, with coverage of music, movies and television. The paper will also carry interviews with celebrities, fashion and beauty stories, as well as local, national and international news. The newspaper is owned of Metro International, which publishes 61 editions in 19 countries. In Canada, Metro is published in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa.
