Home improvement retailer Rona has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with the Canadian Red Cross worth $600,000. During the term of the agreement, Rona will supply 4,500 clean-up kits to be distributed to Canadian families who have had to evacuate their homes due to disasters. Each kit will contains a mop and pail, rubber gloves, cleaning products, a dustpan, garbage bags and a broom. The company will also donate $450,000 in cash to the organization. "We're already an official partner of the Quebec division of the Red Cross, so we're very enthused about getting all of the Rona network stores involved," said Rona president Robert Dutton. "The Red Cross can count on some 570 stores across Canada to stand behind them in providing aid to Canadians whenever disasters occur."
