MOLSON PULLS OUT FROM V&B

Molson Breweries has dropped Vickers & Benson Advertising in Toronto from its list of agencies. Molson was prompted to pull its business from V&B by the recent exit from the ad agency of the creative team on Molson Dry, Phillipe Garneau and Michael Wurstlin. A Molson spokesperson said yesterday that the company is now considering how it will handle the agency assignments for the the former V&B brands: Dry, Heineken and Fosters. Although no one is saying so at the moment, Garneau and Wurstlin themselves could be contenders for the brand, having recently set up shop with another man who worked on Molson with them at V&B, Bruce Philp.
