Worldwide Short Film Festival retains Doug Agency

The Toronto-based Canadian Film Centre has retained Doug Agency, also based in Toronto, as the advertising agency for its Worldwide Short Film Festival. The agency will handle the festival's campaign for the 2006 season and will also produce creative for its marketing initiatives during the rest of the year. Taxi of Toronto withdrew from the pro bono account last month. "The Doug Agency is a great fit with the Worldwide Short Film Festival brand," said Barry Patterson, director of marketing at the Canadian Film Centre. "Doug has an exceptional reputation for delivering strong creative, inventive and strategic solutions for its clients, and we look forward to seeing a campaign that will champion this unique Canadian festival for years to come." The 12th annual festival will take place from June 13 to 18.
