BC Lung Association conducts awareness effort
By Adnews Staff
The Vancouver-based British Columbia Lung Association will conduct an out-of-home initiative this week as part of National Non-Smoking Week. The creative, produced by Smak of Vancouver, consists of a six-foot-long cigarette crushing the roof of a car to convey the message that smoking-related deaths outnumber those caused by car accidents in BC. The installation will be displayed in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery from Jan. 16 to 18. Staff from the Lung Association will be present to distribute information and encourage smokers to quit.
