Ford promotes Fusion on floor of Air Canada Centre

Ford of Canada has begun an out-of-home promotion for a new vehicle called the Fusion at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. The creative, which was installed on Jan. 14, consists of images of the vehicle projected onto the floor at the arena. The imagery changes when sensors detect the motion of passers-by over the ad. Through various movements, viewers of the ad can change the colour of the car or switch to an interior view. The technology, called "GroundFX," is a product of GestureTek of Toronto. "Everything about the new Fusion is dynamic, so the way we show the car to consumers has to be energetic and ground-breaking," said Andrew Schiavetti, car advertising manager at Ford of Canada. A similar system was installed in October at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Advertising for Ford is handled by Young & Rubicam of Toronto.
