Intel introduces new brand identity

Microchip manufacturer Intel of Santa Clara, CA has unveiled a new brand identity intended to simplify and unify the look and feel of the brand across the company's product lines. According to the firm, the changes are part of an effort to better communicate the important characteristics and value of the brand to consumers. The company's previous logo and the "Intel Inside" tagline, adopted in 1991, have been retired. The new tagline is "Intel. Leap Ahead." The new logo consists of the company name within a blue oval. The company has also introduced new logos in the same style for various individual products. "Intel has one of the most valuable brands in the world and we intend to grow the value of our brand as we evolve the company," said Eric Kim, senior vice-president and general manager of Intel's sales and marketing group. "This evolution will allow Intel to be better recognized for our contributions, establish a stronger emotional connection with our audiences and strengthen our overall position in the marketplace."
