The Toronto-based Canadian Marketing Association conducted its annual award show on Nov. 25. The event recognizes advertising campaigns that have delivered measured results. Labatt received the organization's Best of the Best Award for its 2004 "Parti Bleue" campaign, created by BBDO Montreal. David Engel, president of Innovative Graphics, received the Directors' Choice Award for his contributions to the Canadian Marketing Association during the past ten years. Alan Levine, CEO of ICOM Information & Communications, received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in the field of database marketing. The association also distributed 33 gold awards. Some of the winners included General Motors of Canada's "Pontiac Ice Maze" campaign by MacLaren Momentum and Environics Communications, Berlitz Canada's "Dozens of Reasons" campaign by Euro RSCG 4D, Bell Canada's "Bell Bundles Metro Wrap" promotion by Cossette Communication Group, Scotiabank's "Find the Money" initiative from Mighty Digital, Tourism British Columbia's "2005 BC Escapes" program by Blitz Direct Vancouver, McNeil Consumer Healthcare Canada's "Living Well" CRM program by MacLaren McCann Direct and Interactive, Indigo Books & Music's in-house "iRewards Indulge" direct mail effort, Yellow Pages Group's "Success at Your Fingertips" campaign from OgilvyOne, Effem's "Whiskas Leader of the Pack" promotion by TBWA\Toronto, Pepsi QTG Canada's "Campagne 5 gars PEPSI" by BBDO Montreal, and LCBO's "Groove-a-Licious" promotion by Mental Art, Taxi, and Gee Jeffery and Partners.
