AOL Canada to handle ad sales for CBC.ca
By Adnews Staff
AOL Canada has signed an online advertising representation agreement with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Under the terms of the agreement, AOL Canada will handle third party advertising sales representation, search syndication and content integration for CBC.ca, the broadcaster's English-language website. The company will sell online advertising on the site on an exclusive basis and will also be a non-exclusive representative for other forms of promotion such as sponsorships, contests and unique ad units. "CBC.ca has had commercial advertising and sponsorships for several years," said Claude Galipeau, executive director of digital programming and business development at CBC. "We decided to integrate additional commercial inventory by partnering with an experienced interactive sales partner. We determined that The AOL Media Network was the right fit based on success of sales, reputation within the industry and previous positive experiences in working with the company."
