Pepsi, Frito Lay, Microsoft to hold Xbox 360 contest

Pepsi-Cola Canada and Frito Lay Canada, in association with Microsoft Canada, are readying a contest that will give away approximately 1,000 Xbox 360 video game consoles over a six-week period. Draws will be conducted every hour from midnight on Oct. 2 to midnight on Nov. 10. Consumers enter any of the hourly draws multiple times by submitting unique ID numbers from the packaging of specially-marked Pepsi and Doritos products at the contest website <http://www.befirsttoplay.ca>. The winners will receive Microsoft's next-generation console before it is available for retail purchase. The winners will also receive a package of merchandise called a "Party In A Box" intended to help them show off the machine to their friends. "We are always looking for innovative ways to reward our consumers," said Dale Hooper, vice-president of marketing at Frito Lay Canada. "Gaming has become the new social in-thing and the Xbox 360 will provide the ultimate digital entertainment thrill ride." Eligible products for the contest will include Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Lime, Diet Pepsi Lime, 7UP, Diet 7UP, Mountain Dew Energy, Mug Root Beer, Brisk Iced Tea, Tropicana Twister, Doritos Nacho Cheese, Doritos Zesty Cheese, Doritos Black Pepper Jack, and Lay's Classic potato chips. Frito Lay Canada is a PepsiCo company.
