Corus Entertainment and CBC have launched a new consumer magazine called Sonic. The free, bilingual music magazine is a product of Max Trax Galaxie, a music service distributed by digital cable, and advertising agency Zig. Max Trax Galaxie is a joint venture between Corus and CBC. The 20-page premiere issue will be published in January. It will contain articles covering seven genres of music. The magazine's editor is music journalist Steve McLean. "Sonic is an innovative way for us to speak directly with our customers, while allowing us to reach new listeners by appealing to music enthusiasts," said Lisa Lyons, general manager of Max Trax. "The magazine delivers the message about our services using great editorial content that is of real value to our readers."
