Labatt promotes Budweiser on Montreal metro line

Labatt has begun an out-of-home campaign in Montreal promoting the Budweiser brand. The creative, produced by BBDO Montreal, has been installed on the city's metro train line between the Angrignon and Honoré-Beaugrand stations. The ad consists of a series of images of a rock guitar player that create the illusion of movement when seen in quick succession. "We were excited right away by the idea of producing an ad using image decomposition on a metro train," said Stéphane Boulay, the brewer's marketing manager for the Budweiser and Bud Light brands in Quebec. "The resulting guitar solo fits right in with Budweiser's rock-rooted image." The campaign began on Aug. 22 and will run for eight weeks.
