Toronto Crime Stoppers hires DDB Canada

Toronto Crime Stoppers has appointed DDB Canada its advertising agency of record. The Toronto-based firm will handle the account pro bono, beginning with a rebranding strategy focused on urban youth in that city. The non-profit community organization offers cash rewards for anonymous tips that may lead to the solution of a crime. Toronto Crime Stoppers began a competitive agency search earlier this summer that included 11 firms. "DDB Canada was the best equipped agency to assist us in tackling our mandate," said Lorne Simon, chair of Toronto Crime Stoppers. "Not only are they passionate about helping us make Toronto a safe city, but we're particularly impressed with their creative and strategic expertise in crime prevention and youth marketing."
