The Marketing Hall of Legends has issued a call for nominations for its 2006 event. The Hall of Legends initiative was launched last year by the Toronto Chapter of the American Marketing Association and Toronto-based Mandrake. Its purpose is to recognize individuals who have "made an outstanding contribution to furthering Canadian business in the area of marketing." Nominations are open in four categories: visionaries, builders, enablers and mentors. The organization will accept nominations through its website at <http://www.marketinghalloflegends.ca> until June 12. The winners will be inducted on Jan. 26, 2006. The Marketing Hall of Legends will begin an ad program this week to promote the need for nominations. The creative will feature three of last year's inductees, which include Ron Joyce of Tim Horton's, Dave Nichol of President's Choice, Guy Laliberté of Cirque du Soleil, Michael Budman and Don Green of Roots, and Christine Magee and Stephen Gunn of Sleep Country Canada. The advertising, created by ACLC, will run in the Globe and Mail and Marketing.
