Operation Eyesight Universal retains Veritas Communications

Calgary-based Operation Eyesight Universal has retained public relations agency Veritas Communications of Toronto to raise awareness of an upcoming fundraising campaign called "The Shopper's Optical Gift of Sight Tour 2005." Operation Eyesight is a Canadian international development organization that seeks to cure and prevent blindness. During this year's tour, Kenyan ophthalmologist Ciku Mathenge will visit major Canadian cities to describe the poor state of eye care in Africa. This will be the second year Veritas has worked on this project. "We are constantly challenged with finding methods to break through the clutter and ultimately raise awareness of our organization and of this important cause," said Patrick Hammond, manager of communications for Operation Eyesight Universal. "Veritas understands our needs and has demonstrated that in the past. We are confident that together we will achieve success again in 2005."
