Bell to sponsor City Chase program

Bell Canada has once again signed on as the title sponsor of a series of events called the "Bell City Chase." Created by Toronto-based event marketing company InField Marketing Group, the eight events will form the basis of a five-part television series that will air on Global Television in the fall. Approximately 300 teams of two participants in eight cities will engage in one-day contests that the company describes as "part urban obstacle course, part scavenger hunt." Teams must complete 10 out of 15 challenges to win the contest. The challenges will take the form of local trivia questions, puzzles, endurance tests, athletic activities and interactions with members of the public. Events will take place in Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax. The initiative will begin on May 7 and end on Aug. 6. A national championship will be held in September. Volvo is the presenting sponsor of the Bell City Chase. Additional sponsors include Extra gum, Motrin IB, CanWest MediaWorks, Sleeman, VIA Rail Canada, McDonald's Restaurants of Canada and Delta Hotels.
