RadioShack to be renamed The Source by Circuit City
By Adnews Staff
The 1002 RadioShack stores in Canada are about to be rebranded. By July 1, all the chain's Canadian locations will be going by the name The Source by Circuit City. The electronics retail chain is owned by InterTAN Canada of Barrie, ON, which is in turn indirectly owned by Circuit City of Richmond VA. The design for the rebranded stores was unveiled yesterday at a store in the Toronto Eaton Centre. Other stores in the Greater Toronto Area will be updated next, followed by stores in other large markets. A website for the chain has been constructed at <http://www.thesourcecc.com>. The new brand will be promoted with a campaign of television, radio, print and outdoor advertising. No details about the campaign were available at press time.
