Corona to sponsor Escape the Ordinary shows on CTV Travel

Beer brand Corona has signed on as the sponsor of a new programming block on specialty channel CTV Travel called "Escape the Ordinary." This block of shows will air on Tuesday evenings from May 3 to Sept. 6. The programs will show viewers the world's best beaches, cruises, spas and vacation spots. Corona's sponsorship includes two 10-second billboards bearing the beer's logo, plus two 15-second vignettes of quiet beaches with Corona signage that will air once per hour each day. "As CTV Travel channel programming captures the essence of holiday and summer fun, partnering with Corona, a brand synonymous with sun, sand and surf, is a natural fit and a great opportunity to encourage viewers to find ways to escape their everyday reality," said Sally Basmajian, vice-president of sales and marketing for Discovery Channel, CTV Travel, Animal Planet and Discovery Civilization Channel. The programming block comprises the shows "World's Best Beaches," "Great Cruises: Adventures of the Seas," "World's Best Hottest Destinations For Singles" and "World's Best Sexiest Destinations for Couples."
