DaimlerChrysler Canada resumes Jeep Jamboree promotion

DaimlerChrysler Canada is preparing to resume a long-standing promotion called the Jeep Jamboree this summer. The initiative will consist of a series of seven off-road driving events for that will be held nationally from June to August. The events are intended to give Jeep owners the chance to practice their off-road driving skills and develop a respect for the environment. Jeep Jamborees have been conducted since the 1950s. "Many of the people who own a Jeep know the on-road handling capability of their products, but not all of them know how well their Jeep handles in off-road conditions," said Mike Accavitti, vice-president of marketing at DaimlerChrysler Canada. "The Jeep 'go-anywhere, do-anything' slogan really takes on a whole new meaning once you've been to a Jeep Jamboree." Canadian events in 2005 will take place in Kingston, NS, Knowlton, PQ, Bobcaygeon, ON, Penticton, BC and Rocky Mountain House, AB.
