TWO SPLIT ACA AWARD

The Association of Canadian Advertisers 1996 Gold Medal award is being shared by retired ACA president John Foss and still active ACA senior vice-president Maurice Brisebois. The annual medal is usually awarded to a single person who has been judged by his or her peers to have made an exceptional contribution to the advancement of Canadian advertising. This years double presentation will be made April 19 at the National Advertising Benevolent Society's Gala evening in Toronto. Foss retired from the ACA in 1993, after 14 years at the helm. He has been a volunteer with the Audit Bureau of Circulations and the World Federation of Advertisers. Brisebois has been with the ACA as senior vice-president since 1981. He has also worked at Dow Brewery as advertising director and was advertising sales director at La Presse Limitée. Brisebois was at Vickers & Benson Advertising for 16 years, working his way up to executive vice-president and member of the National Executive Committee.
