Volkswagen breaks new Jetta campaign
By Adnews Staff
Palm Arnold Communication of Montreal has created a new campaign for Volkswagen promoting the Jetta sedan. The campaign, which broke yesterday, consists of television, newspaper, magazine and Internet advertising. The creative seeks to take a humorous look at the obsessions of drivers, such as an obsession with fuel economy or an obsession with cargo space. The print ads place an image of the car in a thought bubble emanating from someone elsewhere in the ad. Two 30-second television commercials have been produced. The first, called "Roller," shows a Jetta driver who is obsessed with things that roll. The second, called "Left," shows various people who only carry out various activities to the left. A 60-second version of this ad has also been created. The French- and English-language campaign will run through the spring.
