Rare Method buys Powerlines
By Adnews Staff
Rare Method of Calgary has purchased Powerlines Strategic Marketing and Communications, also based in Calgary. The price includes shares and a cash payment, plus more shares if certain financial targets are met over the next two years. Jim Freeman, the president of Powerlines, will join Rare Method. "We focus on developing the right marketing strategy and implementation process for our clients. In most situations, we subcontract aspects of a project to our network of suppliers," said Freeman. "As Rare Method provides a wide range of interactive marketing services, the majority of this work will now be handled in house, resulting in better service to our clients." Powerlines clients include Canada BrokerLink, Sport Swap, RL Brews, the Calgary Flames, The Nature Conservatory of Canada and Harmony Park Developments. According to the company, its average annual gross income over the past four years was approximately $400,000.
