Wal-Mart releases pharmacy commercial

Wal-Mart Canada has released a new television commercial promoting its in-store pharmacy department. The ad, created by Publicis of Toronto, will air in English Canada through April, then again from June through August. The ad is intended to portray Wal-Mart's pharmacy as a place, not just for prescriptions, but for preventative health and well-being needs. "The health category is expanding at a significant rate and Wal-Mart's customers are more focused on preventative measures to ensure their good health," said Duncan Bruce, executive creative director at Publicis. "In this spot we feature a rock climber in his 50s, who has a youthful outlook on life. He makes his health and well-being a priority, with Wal-Mart partnering with him to meet his needs."
