AWARD SHOW ROUND UP

Toronto-based TrojanOne received a silver globe in the "best event marketing campaign" category at the 2004 Globe Awards in Florida this week. The agency won for its work on the Nike RunTO event. Another Canadian winner at the Globe Awards was Strateco-Blitz, a part of Cossette, which won the top award in the "best brand-building campaign" category for the Panasonic Canada "getnlucky.com" campaign. Earlier this month McDonald's Restaurants of Canada won an award in the crisis communication category at the PR News Platinum awards in New York for its efforts during the Canadian concerns about Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy. Weber Shandwick, McDonald's public relations agency of record, also worked on these initiatives.
