PANASONIC BEGINS VIERA CAMPAIGN

Panasonic Canada of Mississauga is promoting a line of LCD and plasma televisions called Viera with a national consumer marketing campaign. The campaign includes a 30-second television commercial on CTV, the CanWest networks and various English-language specialty stations. The campaign also includes advertising in national newspapers and magazines. Out-of-home ads will be used in Toronto venues Skydome, the CN Tower, the Olympics Spirit building, the Hockey Hall of Fame, Pearson International Airport and the Ottawa airport. The campaign was created by Strateco Strategic Communications Group. Media planning and buying were done by Genesis Media. Public relations for Panasonic are handled by Environics Communications. All of these firms are based in Toronto.
