AIR CANADA, SUBWAY TO SPONSOR GREATEST CANADIAN

Air Canada and Subway have signed on as sponsors of the CBC Television series "The Greatest Canadian." The logos of these companies appear in commercials, posters and ads for the series, which will debut on Sunday. CBC will also produce a 30-second corporate sponsor message that will be included in the DVD and VHS release of the series in December. CBC has also created an online contest tied to the program. After each episode, viewers will be directed to vote for a Greatest Canadian at <http://www.cbc.ca/greatest>. Ten winners will receive two Air Canada tickets to the destination of their choice. The grand prize winner will receive a trip related to the individual picked as the Greatest Canadian. The two-hour series premier will list the 50 contenders nominated for that title by the public. Subsequent episodes will focus on each of the top ten nominees.
